**Intro:** From the Lake Michigan shore at Holland and Grand Haven to Zeeland, Hudsonville, Jenison and Allendale, we design and plant for homes, lakeshore properties and the shops, inns and offices that line Ottawa County's towns.

**Communities served:** - Holland
- Zeeland
- Grand Haven
- Spring Lake
- Hudsonville
- Jenison
- Allendale
- Coopersville

**Counties on the map:** - ottawa

**Growing conditions:** Near the lakeshore, soils run sandy and drain fast, and Lake Michigan moderates the weather: later springs, longer falls and lake-effect snow. Wind and full sun are the rule by the water, so plants are chosen to stand up to both, the way we did for lakeside deck planters. Inland, around Hudsonville and Zeeland, the ground holds water better and suits a wider range of perennials.

**For businesses here:** Downtown Holland and Grand Haven storefronts, waterfront restaurants, inns and offices benefit from seasonal display programs timed to the summer visitor season, and from plantings that handle lakeshore wind.

- Do you plant lakeshore properties? — Yes. We choose plants for wind, full sun and sandy soil, and plan containers that hold up through a lakeshore summer.
- Do you work in Holland and Grand Haven? — Yes. All of Ottawa County is in our service area.
- How does a commercial project start? — With a visit to the property, on-site or virtual. We look at sun, soil, drainage, how people arrive and what you want the place to feel like, and then send a plan with clear next steps and a price.
