Fall planning season

Plan this fall, plant first thing in spring

Fall is the best time to look at your garden honestly and plan what comes next. Start now and your design is finished before the nurseries fill up.

Why plan in fall

The best garden plans start at the end of a season

See the whole season

By fall your yard has shown you everything: where the sun fell, where water sat, and which plants thrived or struggled.

Time to design well

Winter gives us room to work through plant choices and drawings carefully, instead of rushing in April.

Ready when nurseries are

With a finished plan and plant list, you can shop early in spring while selection is at its best.

From fall to spring

How it comes together

  1. Fall

    Garden consultation

We walk the space while this year's results are still visible and talk through what you want next.

  2. Winter

    Planting plan or design

I prepare your planting plan or detailed design, with a plant list and quantities.

  3. Spring

    Shop and plant

Use the plan on your own, or bring me along for plant shopping and installation help.

Sarah created a stunning design for my rain garden. It really brought the project to life and helped me imagine what the space would look like when finished.
